Iota had an attack of knuckleheadedness yesterday and wriggled onto the wrong side of the fence where she spent almost the whole day bawling for her babies. Anyway her optimistic little daughter on the other side of the fence began to look for milk in the sky as the day wore on.
Peanut often did this, just turning his face up to the clouds and assuming the nursing position, so we call it the Peanut-cloud position. I never saw it but there must have been a day when he did find a little white milk cloud, possibly hovering over the honey tree.

And Peanut still cloud gazes to this day. Although now it is usually with his bum on the ground and his forelegs still standing ... like a dog sits. We call this the Peanut-Pose for those of us who are into Yoga.
But was Iota calling her squirrel babies by name? If so, what did she call them?
Unfortunately that milkey white cloud will only give water, and plenty of it.
Millie, how about an update on Pebbles. Is she looking beautiful in her maternal state? Is she noticeably growing and glowing? I speak for the entire world when I say we are anxiously anticipating seeing her beautiful firstborn babies! (She wasn't bred to the squirrel babies Dad, was she?)
NO she wasn't bred to the Squirrel Babies' dad, because he is already her father. She is keeping her girlish figure and may not have settled. Only time will tell. But she is still Pebbles.
Hah...Squirrel Babies...love that but wouldn't that better describe Cherry's new babies...well you know..because they're smaller...more the size of... well.. squirrels...or did I miss the point here??
BTW..can we see some photos of the new Squirrel Babies??
And also can we learn the squirrel babies names?
Awww...poor thing must have been hungry!

Dear Millie and Goat Farmer,
I gotta tell you that I check this blog about a million times a day because I just love it. So, for the past 5 days I have been clicking on this link and up pops little no-name squirrel baby woefully trying to get milk from a cloud and it is making me terribly sad. I know there's lots going on there--kidding, herd leadership in a shambles, the lingering sorrow of losing Hannah Belle, mucking stalls, babies trying to steal Cherry's milk, new website design, facebook fun, peanut feeding, and the goat farmer off earning a living somehow, BUT this is a not-so-gentle reminder that my mental sanity partly relies on this blog keeping me entertained. Please write more soon!
