Iota Be in Pictures
Betty's daughter Iota, a first freshener, took a bipolar approach to labor with the set of chubby boy-girl St. Patrick's Day twins she delivered today, alternating between a Zen state of wide-eyed surreal calm (pictured above) and a state of world-ending earsplitting please-don't-wake-the-dead-oh-sorry-I-already-did horror.
The farmer is trying to decide what the twins' names will be, so fine if you have a suggestion. FYI, Patrick and Bridget have already been nixed, along with Sure and Begorrah. I think they look like fat squirrels if that is any help.

How about the Irish names of Aiden and Bria (or Bree or Brianna)? You could call them A and B for short.
Millie, it is really hard to name babies without seeing pictures of them. But I am trying to help out. I already suggested 2 names for the twins--A and B--because I know the farmer is, as she self-proclaimed, at times weak-minded and I know she has a lot of goat names to remember including those black mini-manchas that should not be overlooked but sometimes are. However, I thought perhaps YOU would prefer a longer name and you are certainly not weak-minded. So here goes: There's an old song that was sung on the Captain Kangaroo show decades ago. It's about a squirrel with an Irish name--perfect, huh? The name of the squirrel is "Andrew McFergus Mctavish Dundee." Now, if there were quad goats each goat could take one name though there might be some confusion between McFergus and Mctavish for the farmer. Since we're naming twins, how about calling the buckling Andrew McFergus and the doeling McTavish Dundee? This message is getting long and you have fields to go browse, but you have to hear the last verse of the song to see why Iota's squirrel-like St. Patrick Day babies should be named based on this song:
"I've often imagined that I'd like to be
A bonnie wee squirrel and live in a tree,
Pay no rent and no taxes and get my lunch free
Like Angus McFergus Mctavish Dundee!"
Come to think of it, No Rent and No Taxes would also make great names. Hope this helps.
First of all, grab them up so they don't have to be put on 'Friendlies' later. Second, names? Hmmm ... what about Lugh and Morrigan. Well, come to think of it, Morrigan, being the supreme warrior Goddess, might cause her to turn out like Hannah Belle. :)
Chip and Dale? No... Those were chipmunks, weren't they...
Speck and Dot (thinking of the name Iota)?
Bah... I'm HORRIBLE at naming things.
Gosh you have lovely goats! I had a long day here, and seeing your goat pictures is such a help. Thank you!
OGG! These are excellent names, but they are SCOTTISH! And Iota's babies are no kilt-clad squirrels!
