Death March

You know what they say, in like a hatter, out like a hare. March is here and it's just as miserable as February. Mud up to your pasterns, stale hay from last summer, halfway snowing all the time, berries in the water buckets, everybody in a bad mood.

I feel like I am getting older every day, that's how bad it is here.

Send us some sunshine if you have extra. We'll send it back in October.

Oh dear me, the situation sounds truly dire. I am sending good vibes for sunshine soon...

We have sunshine, but also sheets of ice where the yard should be. The path to the milk barn is a giant slip-n-slide, which offers great opportunity for broken legs. We would gladly trade for some mud where we could at least get a foothold!

The groundhog may have predicted an eary spring, but he forgot to alert us to the length of mud season. May the sun god shine on us all soon.
