You can know something sad is coming, but that doesn't make it any less sad when it comes.
Valley View Hannah's Marquee died last night.
We could say a lot about his conformation and his dairy character and his champion daughters.
But right now all we can think about is his unbelievably endearing disposition, how he loved the summer, how kind he was, and how lucky we were to have him. If you have a Nigerian or a mini from our farm, and your goat is sweet and smart and funny, we can tell you without looking at the papers that your goat is related to Marquee.
Goodbye, Sunshine.

I am so sorry. May there be no fences and rows and rows of cabbages, grapes and mushy apples in goat heaven.

I have two sweet, smart, and funny goats from your farm that called Marquee, Grandpa.
I am sorry.
I'm saddend to learn of Marquee's death. He certainly was a handsome buck and very sweet and sharp. I'm sorry for your loss but grateful that you recognize how lucky you were to have him. I'll miss him!
To Dad,
Goats come and go,
But you were my dad.
The best goat father,
A doe ever had.
You were humble and kind,
Always there right on cue,
And I’m certain my heart
Came directly from you.
Farewell, mon pere!
I will miss you.
I have two goats that are sweet, smart and funny that called Marquee grandpa. I am sorry goatfarmer. He was a handsome boy.
I'm sorry. He was a grand old soul.
Marquee was my Dad too and from what my Mom, Quattra tells me, he was the reason I am so sweet and kind hearted and not at all mischievous and a bit nutty, like she is!
So, to quote Marigold, I'm certain too, my heart came from him.
We are so sorry you're gone, Mr. Sunshine! We'll miss you.
Love, Smidgen
