Ask not for whom the frog croaks. It croaks for thee standing in the snow. 6 inches. Perhaps 12 here. The frogs will be buried ... or frozen ... or both. One can only hope Ella has frogesque tendencies.
I don't know if it's the spring peepers you have out there, but here in Michigan, all the oldtimers say that once the peepers start to sing, they will have frost (meaning snow) fall on their heads three times before spring comes to stay.
The good news is, the peepers are not dead. Just dormant!
