Herron Hill's Weeping Camel
On Wednesday several of the milkers got very sick from eating some bad grain. Jessie and Wronny are fine now. Winnie, Jr. is doing pretty well. Peaches was in terrible shape but she has perked up. The farmer is going to let her dry off. Xie Xie is still a little glassy-eyed and looks like she lost about fifteen pounds in three days. We will have to see if she can keep milking.
We lost Cammy.

I am so very sorry. She was a lovely goat.
i'm sorry for your loss! this is terrible. can you describe what was wrong with the grain?
your little goaties are very sweet.
We are all so sorry! It is never easy to say goodbye to our friends. I think you have had a very tough time this year and I think you need some Peanuts - maybe 12 dozen.
Bless you guys hearts, we are very sorry to hear this :O(...These guys are so easy to love and so hard to loose...
How awful,I am so sorry.I hope the rest make a full recovery.
Oh no, not the little Weeping Camel..and she was such a sweet goat soul. I am so sorry.
This must be one of the very hard parts about farming. I bet it breaks your heart every time you lose a baby, even if they aren't a baby anymore. I'm so sorry.
:-(
So very sorry.
So horrible. I can't imagine the goatfarmer's helpless feeling when she realized what was going on. I, too, have the same question. What was wrong with the grain? How were you able to finally determine that's what made everyone sick?
Sorry for pretty Cammy.
