Tomorrow Is Coming!

"I am doing an optimistic collection, because things are going badly."

-- Coco Chanel

Well, here we are on the first Monday in November, on the doorstep of winter, and the endless gray rains have started, the economy is in ruins, the mud is already ankle-deep, the farm dog died, the pox lives on, the leaves turned, the cheese in the cheese room got invaded by wild props (more on that later), the furnace broke down, the roof started leaking, and Viceroy the Lamancha buck somehow broke out of his pen and went on an unseemly rampage of goat passion, the details of which are far too frank for the tender ears of the general public.

The creek, you can bet on it, will almost certainly rise.

And how does that make me feel?

OPTIMISTIC!

Come on, tomorrow!

According to the T.V. after tomorrow everything will change. And one can never have too many LaManchas, big or small. Viceroy didn't happen to pay you a visit did he Baby Belle?

Yes, come on tomorrow! I appreciate and admire your optimism. Thanks Baby Belle!

Optimism is good...unless, of course, you are a Nubian...in which case you might have difficulty deciding whether the optimistic side is the plus one or the minus one. I suppose there is merit in that since if it all turns out badly you won't really realize it. By the way, what does a La Mancha/Nubian look like? Would it be a La Nub? A Manubian? A La Manian? I wonder, but I do hope we aren't going to find out.

A Nubamancha would look exactly like Moony, pictured below, except probably without so many spots.

This is all very bad stuff happening, but the writing...oh my, such wonderful writing. Hope all improves after today!

OH! A Nubamancha. That sounds a whole lot better than what I had pictured. And Moony looks a whole lot better than what I had pictured. :) I'll get up on my stump and send you some positive vibes, goatfarmer. I'll even get the others to help!

I love your writing. You are so open and the care you have for your animals and life is outstanding. Even though the creek is rising all is well lol lol lol...

Your optimism for life keeps me wanting to write and seek out my hearts dreams and desires. Because you have gone down this road of learning all about goats and all the trials that come with it , I know that I too can weather the storms. Thank you so much for your blog and your web site I love them both.

I'm still waiting for the explanation of the "wild props", in the cheese room. Being the very, bright goat that I am, I should probably know that but I've just been too busy with all these falling leaves to look into it.
