The Voting
The Spotty Name Voting (poll at left) is very close but has not generated much enthusiasm. Please review this chart to see if it will help you make a choice.
It looks like there may be some vote tampering - is someone purposely maligning the name Pico by misleading the voting public about its meaning? I mean really - a volcano? What self respecting goat wants to be named after a volcano? Shame on you Millie!
I believe 'pico' is Spanish for 'beak'. I don't think she has a beak, does she? Although a Magpie has a beak. 'Picot' is French. I think it means something like 'barb' - or it is a crochet stitch. Does she crochet? See? Should have stuck with Soccer Belle.
I feel the tally should be tossed and a new vote started. Or we will never put to rest Marigold's obsession with the Soccer-less election. I'm sure we are destined to hear the word "soccer" from Marigold until the end of time if we don't give her name a chance. Listen to me - talking like this is a democracy or something!
Okay. This is just ridiculous. You KNOW you are just going to keep calling her 'Spotty'. It will be just like Big Orange who got that fancy-schmancy name and is still Big Orange. Maybe you ought to add Spotty Belle to the line up.
Magpies are annoying as hell and attracted to shiny objects, do these traits describe Spotty? Calypso is also the fair Goddess of Ogygia, and Nymph of the Odyssey.

See? You should have gone with Soccer Belle. Simply everyone would have voted then.
Oh darn. I see I may have to change my vote to Magpie.
Umm..Pico means spot or dot in French Acadian. Nothing to do with a volcano.

I'm hoping for Magpie. Cute name for a cute goat!
A volcano??? Surely pico is related to piccolo--such a dainty yet sweet and strong instrument. A much more fitting resemblance to such a goat.

I really liked Magpie until I saw the picture of the cute little black and white beans. Calypso hmmmmm

Thank you, Yang. I am glad to see that at least someone is paying attention.
