Diary of a Dairy Goat. This blog is the diary of one goat, Baby Belle, a Nigerian Dwarf who lives on a small dairy farm in Western Washington.
I still like Magpie but Calypso is very good too. I had 2 white lambs that I named Calypso and Clipper, but that was more for nautical names than beans. Goats make enough beans already. :-D
Well, isn't that odd - no malfeasance. What is the world coming to? 'This is my island, in the sun ... '
Calypso is simply too adorable for words (even if I did vote for a different name) :-)
Hello Calypso (Pan). You are very cute (Pan). Since the goatfarmer won't be using that name, I have put it on the list of potential names for one of my future offspring. I currently only have one and her name is Pork Pie. Not a name of my choosing, but our GoatMama is not nearly as original or creative as your goatfarmer. However I must admit it is an extremely accurate and descriptive name. Thank you (Pan).
The perfect name for a perfect little bean!
gee...everytime I voted...over and over..it always told me Magpie was in the lead. I continued voting for Calypso though so it must of paid off! I seriously like the bean part of her name and am thinking of stealing that one. It just sticks!
Please, for the sake of your beloved goat, do not use just the name "Bean." It is okay if it's a middle name, but not a first. We have a "Bean" here who is a snooty little dog who lives in the house and only comes to visit us to torment us. She serves no apparent useful purpose other than to come and taunt goats when she gets the notion. I have no clue why she is tolerated and if the GoatMama and GoatPapa had a lick of sense they would send her to boarding school.
